What is this thing we call the 6th sense?
As we speak about the sixth sense what springs to mind are matters such as woman's intuition, the gut belief of a firefighter, or how youngsters have the ability to know things just by using their intuition. What if that sensory, that innermost voice, those perceptive notions were the first rustling of something really important? Many people associate this with the boardwalk psychics but the fact of the matter is that all of us use this sixth sense everyday.
Develop Psychic Ability To Protect Yourself
How about when we decide to take another way home only to learn later that there was a bad accident on the route we normally take home. Or the uneasy feeling we get when we sense danger for no apparent reason. If you live in a city you can relate to having to be ultra aware of your surroundings and keep your guard up at all times. This sense was born of fear and remained a process of basic survival.
How We Survived Using Our Psychic Ability
One major issue in our pre-modern development was how we were able to survive the early days of our existence. Our strength was no match for the animals. Prior to our having developed weapons, tools or shelter there was something directing us, informing us and guiding us to make the selections than enabled us to live on against the odds. What was this concealed presence? It is our psychic ability that is the voice we hear.
While nomadic man searched the plains for food, they were also keeping an eye on predators. They would have lived on in a continual state of dread because of the innate perils of daily life. It was fear that was the motivating factor that created the need for the sixth sense. This inner sense of knowing was constantly on alert. The sixth sense alerted them to danger and warned them against eating poisonous food and was responsible for their survival.
The fascinating point is that this sensory was a byproduct of the survival instincts of our species. Modernistic man naturally does not have near the same day-to-day level of concern for their primary survival; nonetheless in intense situations this inner sensory will disclose itself and will demonstrate its uses to us.
The police officer that suddenly stops before turning a corner only to find out that a gunman was waiting just beyond! How about the mother that suddenly wakes from a sound sleep only to find that their child has snuck out their window to meet their friends! Or the woman that gets the urge to take a self defence course only to be confronted by an attacker the next week. These illustrations might seem phenomenal yet each and every one of us can relate to discovering about or knowing at least one of these.
It is this inner knowing , this inner sensory that we listen to in stressful situations. But for those of us who are not in those extreme situations, it's beneficial for us to ascertain easier ways to develop and fortify the recognition, and communication of that extra sensory that we call the sixth sense!
We all need to learn to develop Psychic Power if we are to survive as a civilization and survive into the coming centuries.
